Armis Teachers

Mrs. Olivia Rhodes

Mrs. Olivia Rhodes is our 1st/2nd grade teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Reinhardt University. Before completing her degree, she gained valuable experience working with children at the Boys and Girls Club and later student-taught at Hill City Elementary School. Mrs. Rhodes began her teaching career at Hill City, where she taught 3rd grade for two years across all subjects. Most recently, she participated in the Growing Readers cohort—a statewide initiative focused on evidence-based reading instruction.
In March, Mrs. Rhodes became a mother and felt called to spend more time at home with her son. This led her to Armis, where she is excited to continue her passion for teaching in a Christ-centered environment. She’s grateful for the opportunity to help young learners grow both academically and spiritually. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Rhodes enjoys leading worship and serving at Woodstock Church Jasper, spending time with her husband and son, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves!

Mrs. Rachel Rodgers

Rachel Rodgers joins the Armis faculty as a 5th and 6th-grade Humanities Teacher. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Political Science from Dallas Baptist University—with a focus on medieval British literature—and completed foundational coursework at Grove City College, where her peers elected her “Best Public Speaker.”

Her primary academic interests include Shakespeare, epic poetry, and classical philosophy. Her dedicated instructional approach and rapport with students consistently earned her top evaluations and led her students to exceptionally high pass rates on state exams. Most recently, she served as an Academic Support Specialist at St. David’s School, where she collaborated with families to help students with learning differences build confidence and study skills.

Rachel’s background as a legal aide and federal judicial assistant also uniquely informs her passion for teaching structured logic and clear communication. She is delighted to partner with Armis families to build a strong foundation of academic excellence and critical thinking with her students. Outside the classroom, Rachel enjoys studying philosophy, listening to classical music, and spending time with her children John and Catherine Clare.
